Stirling is the first choice supplier of steering and diving control systems design and development for many of the world’s shipbuilders and navies, and we play a key role in the retention of the UK’s onshore maritime capability. We specialise in submarine and unmanned water vehicles, but also transfer our technology to surface ships. We support submarine test and maintenance programmes from the Brazilian to the Korean navies, including of course our own Royal Navy. Since the early nineties, we have supported the design and test of a wide number of submarines from the German Type U214 and other diesel-electric boats, to the UK's Astute and Trafalgar Class boats. We provide a range of specialist systems engineering and design services, which enables us to support the complex design process from boat model design to set-to-work and sea trials. A key player in the UK’s submarine defence programmes, Stirling has a proven pedigree in working with the MoD's IPTs. To find out more about Stirling's Submarine capability, click here |
