Job Overview:

 

Due to continued success and growth in Aerospace sector, an exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer to join the Loads and Aerodynamics team. The successful candidate will work within a team responsible for all aspects of aircraft flight dynamics, including model build and analysis.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Provide technical leadership for your delegated tasks.
  • Preparation and presentation of technical reports and data.
  • Involvement in the generation of technical proposals.
  • Enable critical review of reports and data in areas of your technical experience.
  • Technical supervision of junior engineers.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:      

 

The engineer should understand the methods that are employed in both aircraft aerodynamic and structural modelling with an appreciation of dynamic simulation modelling. A senior engineer should have good interpersonal skills, clear report writing and the ability to create and execute technical presentations.

  • Experience in the development of aeroservoelastic models and analysis of aircraft stability & control and handling qualities.
  • An aptitude/background in using MATLAB (and ideally Simulink).
  • Experience in the designing of flight control laws for civil or military aircraft.
  • Experience in the generation of time-based simulation models.
  • Proven ability to handle complex technical problems and provide solutions.
  • Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • An ability to work independently and within small groups.
