Due to continued success and growth in Aerospace sector, an exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer to join the Loads and Aerodynamics team. The successful candidate will work within a team responsible for all aspects of aircraft loads analysis, including ground, flight and component loads.
|
|
Key Accountabilities:
|
|
- Provide technical leadership for your delegated tasks.
- Preparation and presentation of technical reports and data.
- Involvement in the generation of technical proposals.
- Enable critical review of reports and data in areas of your technical experience.
- Technical supervision of junior engineers.
|
|
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
|
|
The engineer should understand the methods that are employed in both aircraft aerodynamic and structural modelling with an appreciation of dynamic simulation modelling. A senior engineer should have good interpersonal skills, clear report writing and the ability to create and execute technical presentations.
- Experience in the calculation of aircraft loads covering flight, ground and component loads including model build, verification and validation.
- An aptitude/background in using MATLAB (and ideally Simulink) and, ideally, Nastran/Patran.
- Experience in the generation of time-based simulation models.
- Proven ability to handle complex technical problems and provide solutions.
- Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- An ability to work independently and within small groups.
