Stirling would like to congratulate the eleven pilots and seven aircrew from 847 NAS and the Army’s 652 Sqn based at RNAS Yeovilton on the news that they are receiving their Wildcat badges. These are the first Royal Navy battlefield Wildcat crews to receive their badges after an intensive seven month period of intensive training. This news is particularly exciting for Stirling as we are the proud supplier of the latest generation dynamic seats for the AW159 Lynx Wildcat helicopter simulators stationed at the Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton training centre.
Stirling’s dynamics seats provide state-of-the-art motion cueing technology for the two Full Mission Simulators (FMS) and the Flight Training Device (FTD). The seats simulate the forces associated with various stages of helicopter flight, including the motion cues for surge, sway, heave, buffeting and harness tensioning. All devices are capable of delivering Army or Royal Navy conversion and mission training.
