Stirling Dynamics provides a complete design and analysis service from the generation and translation of engineering CAD drawings, to export and construction of Finite Element models for linear, non-linear, static, dynamic and thermal analyses. Click here to download the presentation for the ABAQUS UK user conference 2002. Non-linear large displacement analysis, linear analysis, thermal analysis and structural dynamic interaction are areas in which Stirling Dynamics has considerable experience and a proven track record. Clients range from leading UK aircraft and landing gear companies to computer hard disk manufacturers, and cover both the civil and defence sectors. The scope and depth of analysis is tailored to the customers' specific requirements and can range from providing stress distributions from existing models to more complex analyses involving determination of applied loading, validation with test results, fatigue analysis and design studies. Analysis models can be constructed from drawings or from clients' CAD representations. Finite Element models can be used in conjunction with a parallel aerodynamic model for use in determination of flight responses and investigation of stability issues for aircraft certification. Considerable experience has been gained in the field of validation of structural models with results from static strength and vibration testing that can be applied to many other related industry sectors. |
