The Next Generation of Submarine Steering and Diving Control
|

|
Full Authority Submarine Control (FASC) is a new concept for steering and diving systems. Integrated controllers, haptic safety features and automated mode switching give seamless control over the vessel’s speed range for true carefree control.

Some of the benefits this new FASC technology offers are:
- More powerful platform - a result of optimised performance in all conditions and operational scenarios
- Lower through-life costs - system health limitations and monitoring enables less stress on systems and components and less failures
- Increased operator performance and reduced operator error - a result of lower workload due to reduced frequency and complexity of control inputs
- Reduced training costs - FASC is easy to learn and less reliant on operator experience
- Boat remains operational in the event of primary steering position failure e.g Control Room - FASC units provide steering and diving control from anywhere in the boat
- Space and weight savings - FASC is compact and light
Due to FASC’s open architecture, the system can be easily integrated to either replace legacy hardware or to be included in a new design.
