Each year at Stirling Dynamics, we invite our colleagues to vote for our office charity of the year. Colleagues choose from an employee-nominated shortlist, and the chosen charity receives the proceeds of all our fundraising activities during the year.
We are very pleased to confirm that our team selected 1625 Independent People, a charity which supports young people who are homeless, leaving care or at risk of homelessness in the South West. They provide safe, stable accommodation, plus practical and emotional support to ensure vulnerable young people can build healthy relationships, develop independent living skills and can access jobs and training. We are delighted to be supporting such a worthy cause in our region.
In 2023, we raised money for Bristol Animal Rescue Centre through a range of activities including bake sales, walking challenges, pub quizes and craft afternoons. Our 2024 fundraising for 1625 Independent People begins with sponsorship of Stirling Dynamics employees taking part in the 10K or half marathon for the Bristol Great Run. We look forward to sharing some more great fundraising activities during for 2024 for such a valuable charity.
