15 December 2012

From December 3rd -6th 2012, Stirling Dynamics was in attendance at the International Interservice Training Simulation Education Conference (I/ITSEC). I/ITSEC is the biggest training and simulation event in the global calendar, and all the big players in the industry attend including Stirling’s main customers Lockheed Martin, CAE, NASA and Indra. All the main military buyers of training and simulation equipment attend the event, and are always on the look out for the latest technologies and solutions to meet their rapidly evolving needs.

Stirling has exhibited at I/ITSEC since the 1990s and has showcased a variety of equipment over the years. This year we exhibited our replica F-35 stick and throttle set and our linked dual compact side stick system. As usual, our equipment generated much interest and visitors were impressed by the capability demonstrated, especially their ease of reconfiguration. We were pleased to host a number of existing customers on our stand. In addition, we welcomed a number of potential new customers based in the US, Europe and Asia.

The main discussion theme at the show was how to provide a higher fidelity simulation experience for low costs. Shrinking defence budgets are forcing the supply chain to come up with increasingly innovative approaches. Stirling’s cost effective product range, and reputation for innovation meant that we were well placed to offer attractive solutions for those on the look-out for cost effective, high-end pilot training and simulation equipment.
