Training and Development

Nurturing our talent

Stirling Dynamics believes that its most valuable resource is its employees. All employees are supported to identify a path of progression, with aims and objectives reviewed through development reviews every 6 months. We support all employees in identifying opportunities where possible to offer growth and progression.

All new employees receive an induction to the company and the role. Whilst a lot of the initial training will be ‘on the job’, employees are encouraged to identify training opportunities that will support them in their career progression. Employees can submit a training request at any time for internal or external training. and all employees have access to online learning courses through the Expleo learning platform.

We aim to foster a culture of knowledge sharing through Lunch and Learn sessions, in which employees are invited to present what they have learnt from a project, share their technical knowledge or even share something non-work related such as a hobby.

Our values

We are guided by our shared values in everything we do.

Corporate Responsibility

Conducting our business ethically and sustainably

Stirling Dynamics’ CSR activities focus on three key areas: inspiring people to consider a career in engineering (especially under-represented groups), supporting our local community and reducing our environmental impact. As well as incorporating our CSR aims into our business decisions, we raise awareness and promote participation in related initiatives amongst our employees and those in our supply chain.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and bonus scheme, a generous pension contribution and flexible working hours to help you balance your work/life demands. Please see some of the key benefits listed below.

What our employees say

Aleix Gimeno

"I joined Stirling Dynamics as a graduate engineer in 2017. I like to describe my work as an “engineering playground”. Every day is a new challenge, and an opportunity to be involved in a different project."

Africa Valencuela Aycart

Compliance Verification Engineer

"My aviation career started in 2012 as an aircraft Design Engineer. Today, at Stirling Dynamics, my role is to sign off modifications to aircraft within our 21J EASA Design Organisation, bringing me into contact with aviation engineers worldwide."

Gabriele Ganci

Senior Engineer

"I have worked for the company for over 5 years as a systems engineer specialising in landing gear systems. At Stirling Dynamics, I’m surrounded by very capable people and it allows me to learn new things every day."

Jordi Salort

Control & Simulation Engineer

"My career at Stirling Dynamics started in 2019, when I was offered a summer internship. Stirling Dynamics provides a great team-working environment, and I would recommend the company to anyone looking for a daily challenging experience."

Lisa Fisher

Project Coordinator

"As a project coordinator within the aerospace business unit, I enjoy the variety and fast-paced nature of my work, and the rest of the project management team are supportive. We are encouraged to voice our suggestions on how to make the processes and procedures more efficient."

Nadjib Hammoudi

Senior Engineer

"I’ve worked on some interesting projects during my time with the company, but my favourite project so far has been modelling aircraft integrated systems on the Mitsubishi SpaceJet (formerly the MRJ). Working on this project also allowed me to spend 2-months in Nagoya, Japan, which was a great experience."

Stuart Moffatt

Principal Engineer

"I’ve worked for a variety of other organisations (universities, consultancies, and OEMs etc.) and Stirling Dynamics is one of the best in terms of variety of work, culture, and flexibility. On a technical level, I am very fortunate that project work at Stirling Dynamics is varied and reflects my interest in dynamic systems."
