Stirling Dynamics First Employee Recognition Award Winner

At Stirling Dynamics, we believe it is important to give special recognition to those who have made an extra effort in their job, whether this is for the benefit of customers, colleagues, or the business as a whole. Taking inspiration from the Employee Recognition Award scheme developed by Stirling’s parent group, Expleo, Stirling has launched its own instance of the scheme and asked its employees to nominate a colleague based on their achievements and contributions. Introduced in March 2020, nominations could be made under 3 categories; Business, Customer and People, and staff were asked to consider the Expleo Group’s company values when making nominations. These values include courage, excellence, collaboration, respect, and accountability. Stirling’s Executive Management Team and a representative of the Employee Engagement Forum made the final decision.

With the results now in, Stirling would like to congratulate Senior Test Engineer, Jack Gregory, for winning Stirling’s first Employee Recognition Award. Jack started with Stirling in 2012, straight from school to embark on a three-year apprenticeship scheme. He has since chosen to continue developing his career within Stirling. On selecting Jack from the other nominees, Business Unit Director, Dan Clark stated: “Jack was chosen as the first award winner as he goes over and above in order to get things done, is always willing to help and shows professionalism at all times. Challenging product delivery timescales and the remote, solo support of product commissioning/problem-solving at customer sites in both China and the USA, are a few examples of note where Jack was instrumental in the company achieving product delivery and customer satisfaction.”

As a winner of the Employee Recognition Award, Jack received a tax-free cash sum of £200. On winning the award, Jack commented: “It’s a surprise and honour to receive Stirling’s first Employee Recognition Award – it is especially meaningful because I was nominated by my colleagues, so I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them. I started my career as an apprentice and joining Stirling has provided me with the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and the chance to travel to some interesting places. I’m looking forward to gaining further technical expertise and seeing where the future takes me as the company continue to grow.”
